Betta Fish Breeding

Mature ready-to-spawn brooders must select first. Take a same sized pair. Don’t take a large male and small female. Also make sure that both animals are actively behaving. There we can ensure that they are free of diseases. Then fill the rank with 6 inches of water depth. Add to the spawning tank a floating leaf or polythene as a substrate. Put both male and female animals into the tank. But make sure that female animal must put into a glass bottle before putting it into the tank. The reason for that precaution is to prevent attacks between them.

Now, male betta fish can see the female and it stimulates the male. Then the male animal will build the bubble nest. After that female betta fish is released from the glass bottle. Then she will lay eggs after copulation. Male animal fertilizes the eggs after the female animal laying them. Then male collects those eggs and will place them in the bubbles. Female must remove from the tank after spawning.

After 2-3 days, fries come out from the eggs. They start to swim and search for foods. Then we must feed them properly.
